On behalf of Profs Simon Mallal and Frank Mastaglia from the Institute for Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Murdoch University, I would like to invite you to attend the post-Science on the Swan Conference workshop: “Cutting Edge Tools – from population to single cell”. This workshop will be chaired by Dr. Chris Smith (The Naked Scientists) and Dr. Simon Mallal.
This meeting will focus on the application of cutting-edge genetic, immunologic and analytic approaches to address clinical and scientific needs. Powerful big data analyses that are generating a very large number of signals will be described together with the approaches being used to filter and rank those hypotheses for further investigation. Scalable and cost-effective approaches to confirm the functional relevance of specific genetic polymorphisms and the mechanistic basis of associated diseases will also be discussed.
